Popkey understands the intimate and seductive purposes of self-disclosure. the main characters of this story are haenyeo, collectives of women deep sea divers in Jeju (listen to Japanese Breakfast’s song, Diving Woman, also about haenyeo!). i also learned a lot about Jeju Island, a Korean province i didn’t know much about before reading. This novel helped me discover that my favorite stories are about friendship. ![]()
